Reset to remedy my scary Halloween-chocolate-consumption

Ok. I admit it. I went a little nuts this weekend with Halloween sweets. I won't be eating so carelessly for a long time, but I am planning on doing a water reset shortly and repeating the chocolate reset with dark chocolates recommended by Pooja- stay tuned!

Day 3 of my 3-Day Chocolate Reset!

So I bought a big thing of 100% cacao baking chocolate (which has to be a lie) instead of regular dark chocolate because I am ridiculous and the cheese man (who cut down my chocolate chunk to be smaller) and sample lady (who pointed us into several chocolate-y directions in-store) confused me when I went to Whole Foods.

 100% cacao

Anyways, Day 3 was CHOCOLATE! At first I tried grating the chocolate and then I decided to break it into smaller pieces and melt it. I had to add honey because it was too rich (and obviously not sweet) and I dipped dried figs into the melted chocolate (via my microwave). As I didn't eat that much of the chocolate because it was so much, I know I am going to have the chocolate for a while...
I also decided to make tea (which I usually drink daily), but I was out of a bud that bloomed and I wanted to share the pick because it was so pretty! I am also going to be starting a H20 reset tomorrow- wish me luck!

Day 2 of my 3-Day Chocolate Reset!

Hot chocolate! Does that say enough? I made some for my friends Phil and Sophie using soy milk instead of almond milk. They told me that they actually really liked it- even better than anything from a mix and it tasted like something mom would make. So maybe I am being like a mom by providing my friends will all natural chocolate, but I think that must be a good thing :)

Sophie posed with her head in the hot chocolate mug

Sophie is the perfect model to show off this hot chocolate, which is a super fun alternative to traditional chocolate desserts.

Oh yeah, this is what I made (but my version is less pretty than Pooja's):

Day 1 of my 3-Day Chocolate Reset!

I just started my 3-Day Chocolate Reset and wanted to share pics and my progress. For the first day, I prepared Pooja’s Chocolate Snack Bowl for myself and two close friends. I think I put too much raspberry in proportion to everything else, but I thought the snack bowl tasted really good. I was surprised how natural it tasted- definitely a much healthier alternative to the chocolates I am used to eating and def better than Halloween candy :)

Oats and Cacao nibs!

Heating my raspberries

The color of these was so pretty :)

Ta-da! I finished!

CHOCOLATE!!!! (and other 3-Day Resets)

I am officially on board to do a series of three 3-Day resets with 2 day breaks in between (after meeting with Pooja this morning). To start, I will be doing Pooja's 3 Day Chocolate reset. I will be doing the resets with a friend and posting my progress with you in the format of a food journal. As for now, any recommendations for the kind of dark chocolate I should buy? I am looking for something organic with a 70% or higher cacao content (way less fat with higher %'s!).... I also need to buy cacao nibs and other stuff - even though I had just gone grocery shopping. Lol. I think that this reset is a great way for me to start off my weekend!

Thinking about resetting

Pooja’s Chocolate Snack Bowl

I know I haven't posted in a while, but I wanted to know what other people are doing to stay healthy and how you are going to fight upcoming holidays treats, like the onslaught on cady from Halloween? I was thinking about doing Pooja's 3-day reset -> http://poojasway.com/article-tips/october-4th-2011-poojas-3-day-reset-chocolate/
